SOLID SHAMPOO FOR NORMAL HAIR

Low pH shampoo bar indicated for any hair type, without tendency for being either dry or oily. This shampoo is a mixture between the sensitive and the extra foam formulas.

WHAT IS A LOW PH SHAMPOO

Contrary to a cold process soap (with a pH around 9) which is sometimes used as a shampoo, our solid shampoo has a pH between 5 to 6, closer to our skin and hair pH (4 to 5.5).
It has the ability to clean the hair keeping the pH at an optimal level. It creates less negative static electricity on the fiber surface, resulting on a more healthy hair with less frizz.

In order to promote the cleaning properties of the shampoo, we use surfactants from coconut oil, which despite being extracted in the laboratory are not synthetic and aggressive products like other sulfates found in conventional products.

We use only SCI and SLSA because they are the softest sulfates and with the lowest pH, being sufficiently effective in cleaning our hair. These surfactants are 100% biodegradable, without parabens, preservatives or harmful sulfates and are certified for natural cosmetics, allowing the formulation of gentle products, with some foam but not aggressive to our hair and skin.

WHY IS SOLID SHAMPOO MORE SUSTAINABLE

The solid shampoo avoids the use of plastic containers and is more travel friendly, specially using our cork travel box.

It uses less water in their production, making it highly concentrated and equivalent to multiple bottled liquid shampoos, that normally includes around 80% water in their formula.

It also means that you only need to use a small amount every time you wash your hair, so your solid shampoo will last longer. Is normally enough for 3 to 5 months, depending on how many times is used.

HOW TO USE

The shampoo can be used the same way you would use a soap:

1.Wet the shampoo bar
2.Rub it on the hands to make some foam or directly on the hair.
3.Always leave the shampoo on top of a sponge or a soap holder with holes for the water to go through, making sure that it dries well between uses. This step is very important to guarantee the right preservation of the shampoo, if it stays with water it might go bad after a some time.

Finish off with our solid conditioner of spirulina lemon or our solid conditioner of palmarosa.

INGREDIENTS

SCI (sodium cocoyl isethionate), reetha powder, water, almond oil, SLSA (sodium lauryl sulfoacetate), cetearyl alcohol, bio coconut oil, activated charcoal, cosgard, natural vitamin E, essential oil of peppermint

Activated charcoal acts as a magnet by attracting and removing impurities in your hair like dirt, grime or toxins. This leaves the skin on the scalp free and lets the hair breathe at the root, promoting hair growth. It will also absorb excess sebum to help balance the scalp and keep the hair root and shaft from presenting as oily or appearing heavy and flat.

Reetha (also known as soapnut) is an ayurvedic herb that contain natural saponins with cleansing properties helping to create natural foam and gently remove oil from the scalp without stripping off its natural oil. The concentration of vitamins in reetha powder enhances shine of the hair and reduces dryness.

Almond oil makes the hair feel smoother due to its emollient properties, meaning it can fill in gaps in the hair at a cellular level. It’s also rich in vitamin B-7, or biotin, helping to strengthen the hair.

Peppermint essential oil helps to stimulate your scalp and hair follicles, promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss. It leaves a sensation of freshness in the scalp.
