masalaCRUA is a portuguese brand of natural cosmetics and natural crafts created in a remote land somewhere in the mountains of Portugal.

All skin care products are handmade in a small artisanal laboratory in a slow process that allows every batch to be carefully prepared with a slightly different and unique result, always with a lot of presence and consciousness.

The main commitment is first of all to our great mamma earth, respecting and thanking for what she gives us, and taking care of what we are giving in return. Sharing sustainable products using the least amount of water and plastic possible, and choosing the least harmful ingredients for our soils and ecosystems.

In that respectful and meaningful relationship with nature we are also making sure that all the products are the best alternatives to use in our skin, the ones that are going to nourish our body, mind and soul, from the outside of our skin to the inside of our heart.

The natural crafts are a result of my passion for learning new ways of creating with my hands, connecting to the ancestral ways of bringing beauty into our lives.

My name is InĂȘs, I am a Portuguese woman, a natural skin care producer and herbalism student, committed to reconnect daily with this earth and to re learn how to live consciously in her.

After most of my life been spent living in a city, I decided to leave my comfort zone and explore a different way. I have been moving between alentejo and serra da estrela, trying to reconnect with my portuguese ancestral roots.

I started this project in 2017, spending the first years studying, researching and testing all the formulas that I present to you.

I love to be able to share this knowledge and open up a space for a more conscious care of our body and for taking responsibility for our input in nature.

Every creation is carefully prepared with natural ingredients, many of the herbs that I use are collected from my garden or foraged nearby. I prefer slow cold processes that allow to keep the main properties of the herbs.

I am committed to the plant path, researching and creating products that can help us to be more autonomous in our health care, with a more preventive perspective.

And because masalaCRUA is not only about natural care products, but a platform for mixed creations, I also share some of my crafts,  natural jewellery made with avocado seeds, crystals and other natural elements. Unique pieces created with a lot of intention and devotion, meant as power pieces, amulets of protection.
