Natural sweet balsamic scent from cistus rose
SLOWLY INFUSED ALMOND OIL
The almond oil is infused in white rock rose flowers and leaves, that grow all over alentejo giving it a characteristic scent. They are carefully picked by us in spring time, when the resin is stronger and then dried and put inside jars with almond oil for a few weeks until the scent and properties are completely incorporated into the oil.
INGREDIENTS
Cold pressed almond oil infused in esteva flowers and leaves (locally grown)
Esteva, also known as white cistus rose, has been used since ancient times for its ability to help heal wounds. Nowadays, it is widely used in aromatherapy to treat wounds, regulate acne-prone and oily skin, treat respiratory conditions, and balance the emotions. The leaves and stems of this beautiful plant release a sticky brown resin, known as labdanum, that is often used in the perfume industry for its ability to fixate the scents.
Almond oil is an easily absorbed oil that works both as a moisturizer (provides hydration) and emollient (smooths the skin), which makes it a great choice for all kinds of skin care products. Non-irritating and light, it is safe for sensitive skin and it has been used for centuries to soothe the skin and treat minor wounds and cuts, specially in ancient Chinese and ayurvedic practices to treat skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Almond oil can also help to reduce stretch marks in pregnant women by applying it combined with massage and can also reduce itching caused by stretch marks as the skin heals.
