The main ingredient is the olive oil, extracted from local olive trees that grow all around this area and give Portugal its characteristic landscape. To add to the moisturizing characteristics of the olive oil, the coconut oil provides the cleansing and firming properties and creates a bubbly lather.

Made with orange essential oil, known for its up-lifting and cheerful properties, and combined with cinnamon and patchouly essential oils, this soap brings up a feeling of a cozy kitchen with freshly baked cake. The colour is achieved by a mix of turmeric powder and anatto seeds powder, also known as bixa orellana, a tree native to tropical regions from Mexico to Brazil. The patchouli essential oil also brings a grounding and balancing effect. Patchouli oil was used in India fabrics to protect from insects, and the name is believed to come from the hindi word “pacholi” that means “to scent”.

HOW TO USE

1.Wet the soap bar.
2.Rub the soap in the hands or directly on the body.
3.Always leave the soap on top of a sponge or a soap holder with holes for the water to go through, making sure that it dries well between uses. This is the most important step for the soap to last a longer time. If it doesn’t dry properly, it becomes soft and every time it comes off a lot more quantity than needed.
