THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES

Stimulates the neurotonic sympathetic system and awakens the mind. It has anti-fermentative action on the stomach and digestive system and is antispasmodic, carminative and generally antiseptic, particularly at intestinal level, acting against different types of bacteria. It may help relieve intestinal pain in cases of colitis, is rich in mineral salts and has vermifuge properties. It is also traditionally used for headaches, impotence, rhinitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhoea and dermatitis.

EMOTIONAL PROPERTIES

A plant of clarity, traditionally associated with overcoming mental confusion, indecision and lack of critical judgement. It encourages relationships, communication, exchange, expansion, balance and courage, while reducing difficulty in sharing. It may help people who struggle to “enter into other people’s world” for fear of losing their own identity. It promotes mental clarity and may also be used to encourage greater openness towards relationships with people from different backgrounds, perspectives and philosophies.

Adults: 3 to 5 drops, 3 times a day

WHAT IS A QUINTESSENCE

“Quintessence is the manifestation and exaltation of the three principles of a plant being. Soul, body, and spirit are separated from the plant in a gentle and subtle way according to the spagyric art.

Spagyrics can be defined as a philosophical tradition, but also as a science with its origins in alchemy. Alchemists were men who were believed to possess different abilities, including the ability to treat those who sought their care using their own preparations. The term spagyrics comes from the Greek words spao and agueiros, meaning “to separate” and “to reunite.” It is precisely through this process that spagyric preparations are said to attain their highest degree of purity and uniqueness.

Spagyrics arose from the need—or rather, from the ability—to bring together the essential and biochemical compounds found in nature, with the aim of healing not only the body, but also the subtler aspects of every living being: the soul and the spirit. This tradition remained influential until around the year 1600, after which it gradually fell into disuse. Today, however, it has re-emerged with renewed strength.”
